The present depot was built on the site of the old depot.  The concrete block box depot of 1958 vintage was built WEST of the crossing, relationship of which can be seen in one of my 1958 demo images. This relocation was to keep the crossing from being blocked at train-time.  When they built the present depot on the site of the old wooden structure, they extended the platforms way east, to keep from blocking the crossing.
