The Montauk Cutoff Secondary splits from the "Lower Montauk" Branch at Bliss. (The branch actually ends just east of Bliss and the rest of the line to LIC is known as the "C" Secondary). The Montauk Cutoff travels in a semicircle over a series of bridges that cross the Dutch Kills, a few streets, and then the Main Line to New York City, before descending into Yard A.
