Here’s a scan of the trestle over the LIRR’s Main Line in Holtsville under construction on 9/20/12.

 I MAY be wrong, but I DO believe that the spot where the photographer is standing is the site of the layup track that is visible in the 1913 photo showing the depot and the train, looking in the opposite direction!

 

Notice something to the far left in the foreground?  Might be part of a work flat on those rails . . . . .
